Mr Cheo Chai Chen

Mr Cheo graduated at Nanyang University in the Department of Government and Public Administration.

Cheo joined NSP in 2006. Currently, he is the NSP Central Council member and NSP Funds Riasing Committee member.

In the 1991 GE,   he was elected a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon Central. During his term of MP, he was also the Chairman of Nee Soon Central Town Council.

Cheo believes that a nation will deteriorate when there is a one-party rule, as it will lead to dictatorship and decadence due to its lack of transparency in the over-concentration of government power.  He contents that the ruling party's implementation of the GRC is to let it have advantages in elections over its rivals.  He says that it resulted in the smaller political parties or independents facing more difficulties and it deprived voters their chances to vote.

Cheo is very concerned about the situation of rising costs of living and the unemployment issues, especially for the middle and old aged.

In 2006, he contested in Jalan Besar GRC under the flag of the Singapore Democratic Alliance.
